Wallabies to tour USA ahead of World Cup

Australia will tour America for the first time in almost 40 years in preparation for this year's Rugby World Cup in the UK. Michael Cheika's Wallabies will spend two weeks in the US and will play a test match against the Eagles in Chicago on Saturday September 5. The Wallabies first played the USA in a tour match in Berkeley in 1912 and played  the Eagles in its inaugural Test match in 1976. “Although we haven't met on many occasions, there's a rich history between our two Rugby nations, with the Eagles playing their first ever Test match against the Wallabies some 40 years ago. We know it will be a spirited encounter for that very reason and look forward to playing in front of a big Chicago crowd,” coach Michael Cheika said.
