Video: World Rugby explain new tackle laws

Late last year, World Rugby announced a new zero-tolerance approach to reckless and accidental head contact in an attempt to further reduce the risk of head injuries in rugby. As of January 3, the international governing body introduced new minimum on-field sanctions for reckless and accidental contact with the head, effectively lowering the acceptable height of a tackle. The changes have already had a noticeable affect in Europe with a number of yellow and red cards awarded in professional matches in recent weeks. The video above gives a simple overview of the law changes.
