New look Australian Schools team named to play Fiji Schools
Australian Schools coach Pat Langtry has made widespread changes to his side to play Fiji Schools in Auckland on Thursday afternoon.
After defeating Samoa 50-10 last week, just four players have retained their spot in the starting XV, as Langtry looks to give his entire squad game time ahead of next week’s matches against New Zealand Schools Barbarians and New Zealand Schools.
Brisbane Grammar flanker Fraser McReight will captain the side and the new-look forward pack that features an all Queensland front row.
Shore lock Rory Suttor will play alongside Gregory Terrace big man Harry Wilson, while Victorian Sunia Finefeuiaki has been named at blindside flanker after wearing the No.8 jersey against the Samoans.
Wingers Yirrbi Jaffer-Williams and William Eadie and fullback Luke Osborne have retained their spot in the back three, with Joshua Vuta and Adam Doueihi named in the halves.
Joeys pair Nick Wilkinson and Matthew McTaggert will play alongside one another in the midfield.
Australians Schools play Fiji Schools at 2:30pm (NZ) on Thursday afternoon.
