Jed Holloway set to miss remainder of Super Rugby season

Waratahs No.8 Jed Holloway has been ruled out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season and will have surgery on his injured shoulder. After breaking into the Waratahs starting side earlier this year, the 24-year old had played himself into Wallabies contention, but will be forced to watch the June Tests and the remainder of the Super Rugby season from the sideline. "Jed is going to have surgery, we made that decision this week," Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson said. "He looked decidedly worse after the Crusaders game than he did when he injured himself here at the captain’s run so we’ve made a decision that he’ll have shoulder surgery, out for four months."   "Disappointing for Jed, I think he was really in contention for a Wallabies position and pushing hard for that so for him while disappointing, I’m sure over the next few years, he’s going to push for higher honours." Wycliff Palu will replace Holloway in the Waratahs staring side with captain Michael Hooper c
