Five changes made to Australian U20s side to play New Zealand
Australian U20s coach Adrian Thompson has made five changes to the starting XV that fell to New Zealand on Tuesday with Melbourne Rebels centre Sione Tuipolotu and Aussie Sevens squad member Simon Kennewell added to the starting side.
For many players this is the last chance to put their hand up for selection in the BMW Australian U20s squad to go to Manchester in June which will be announced in the coming days.
“We spoke after the game on Tuesday about lifting our standards across the whole squad after the performance we put out against New Zealand on Tuesday,” Thompson said.
“The lads have re-grouped and worked hard at training but we need to translate that to a committed match performance on Saturday night.”
The Australia U20s play New Zealand at Bond University from 4pm on Saturday.
