Australian Schools Barbarians team to play Tongan Schools announced

The Australian Schools Barbarians team has been announced ahead of Saturday’s clash against Tongan Schools at Newington College in Sydney at 1pm.

Formally known as Australia A Schools, the Barbarians have been in camp in Sydney since Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s match.

NSW players have dominated selections with 15 players named in the 23-man side. Queensland have five representatives while the ACT and Victoria have two and one respectively.

Tongan Schools warmed up for Saturday’s clash with 45-8 victory over NSWCCC (Combined Catholic Colleges) last week.

Saturday’s match is the only international schools Test match to be played on Australian soil this year. The Australian Schools squad departs on its tour of Samoa and New Zealand on Sunday.
