The top two teams from each pool and the two highest ranked third placed sides qualify for the quarter finals. If Australia narrowly loses to South Africa, they may still qualify if Kenya beats Japan by a handful of points. That result could see Australia finish with a better points differential than Japan, ensuring Australia secures the final quarter final spot.
