Wallabies to host England in three test series in 2016
The Wallabies will play a three test series against England for the very first time, with Test matches scheduled to be played in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in June next year.
The two sides will meet in the pool stages at the World Cup later this year, in a match that may determine both side's campaigns, adding further spice to next year's series.
“With a rivalry that dates back to 1909, it is remarkable that Australia and England have never before played a three-match series and the history of this occasion is sure to add to the anticipation for the tour," ARU CEO Bill Pulver said.
The second Test in Melbourne, will be the first of its kind at AAMI Park.
“The process for determining the venues for the series was centered on providing the best fan experience. All three venues are Rugby-friendly, offer a fantastic view of the action, and will generate a superb atmosphere with Wallabies fans and the touring English fans coming out in force," Pulver added.
