Michael Hooper recommits to Australian rugby

Potential Wallabies captain Michael Hooper has recommitted to Australian Rugby, signing a two-year contract extension that will keep the flanker in Australia until at least the end of 2018. At just 23, the Manly Marlins junior has already played 42 tests for Australia and will likely play a pivotal role in this year’s Rugby World Cup campaign. “The opportunity to play for my country is something I am very passionate about, and is a huge reason why I wanted to commit beyond my current term,” Hooper said. “I am just stoked to be in this position.
