Brothers name team to play Norths in Australian Club Championship

Brothers have named 10 players from last year’s Premier Rugby grand final in their side to play Shute Shield winners Northern Suburbs in the Australian Club Championship in Brisbane on Saturday. Matt Mafi, Richard Skelton and Stefano Hunt have all picked up professional contracts on the back of last year’s success, forcing Brothers to blood a number of young stars this weekend. “We’re really excited to see how some of the younger guys go. Plus there are a few guys who have been sitting in reserve grade that get a chance, so they’ll be keen to impress,” Brothers Director of Rugby Ben McCormack told Rugby News. Reds young guns Taniela Tupou and Lukhan Tui have both been named on the bench. Brothers face Norths at 4pm on Saturday. Brothers team to play Northern Suburbs: Gareth Ryan, Francois Postal, Dustin Henegan, Dan Liddy, Ted Postal, Harry Symes, Henry Fitzgerald, Criff Tupou, Reuben Wall, Patrick James, Will Shipperley, Nathanuel Gendle, Elih Baillie, George Partrid
