Waratahs sign 18yo Australian Schoolboys flyhalf Will Harrison

NSW Waratahs have signed 2017 Australian Schoolboys captain Will Harrison to a three year deal. The Randwick junior missed the majority of his final year at school, including the Australian Schools Championships, but was still picked to lead Australian Schools against New Zealand last year on the back of a handful of strong performances for the Galloping Greens Colts side. The 18-year old is currently training with Australian U20s and NSW U20s programs and train alongside Bernard Foley and Mack Mason at the Waratahs. "My whole life my dream has been to play for my state and represent my country," Harrison said. "I was always in the system and couldn't see myself playing anywhere else." Waratahs Elite Development Manager Pat McCutcheon said he has little concern about Harrison joining the full time squad as the youngest member. “He is very mature for his age and this has come through in his work ethic on the field and his character off the field," McCutcheon said.
