The Galloping Greens crossed four times themselves, snatching a bonus point with try number four after the siren and didn’t take a backward step against a side they surprised earlier in the year. They trailed by only 3pts at half-time – 15-12 – their tenacity at the breakdown coupled with some loose play from the Rebels affording them plenty of turnover ball with which to profit but the home side ironed out a few glitches and went up the gears after the break to cross three more times before the visitors late consolation.
