Parramatta to launch Two Blues Wheelchair Rugby team in 2018

The Parramatta Two Blues will launch a Wheelchair Rugby team to play in the Sydney Slam Series after forming a partnership with Wheelchair Sports NSW and Wheelchair Rugby NSW.

“We are delighted to announce this exciting new partnership in conjunction with Wheelchair Sports NSW and Wheelchair Rugby NSW,” Two Blues General Manager Craig Morgan said.

“The new partnership is a great way to open and develop a relationship with another member organisation of the rugby family, enabling us to share support between the organisations but also on the ground support of the game, the teams and the players through social inclusion and interaction.”

Parramatta has also appointed former player Jake Field as a club ambassador. Field played with the Two Blues before his accident and since playing his first match of Wheelchair Rugby in 2013, has gone on to win two National Championships with NSW and earned a spot in the Australian Wheelchair Rugby Development Program.

“We look forward to getting out to support the Two Blues Wheelchair Rugby Team and I am sure our entire club will get behind the team,” Morgan added.

The Two Blues Wheelchair Rugby Team will adopt the Two Blues name, colours and branding during all competition matches.
