Ezra Luxton: Huge workrate, brilliant tackler and ball carrier.

Sam Kitchen: Doesn’t make mistakes, carries into contact well, can open up his outsides and is a great chop tackler.

Angus Ta’avao: Extremely good ball carrier, strong linespeed, a calm head and a very good scrummager.

Nick Palmer: Massive engine, will go all day. Genuine lock, good chop tackler, good linespeed, can ball play, future Super Rugby player.

James Brown: A genuine athlete. Explosive, quick, good ball player and good in the air. Good leader too.

Michael Smith: Tough. Smithy will hit anything that moves, has got amazing timing on his defence and very strong ball carrier – one of the toughest in the comp I’d suggest.

Will Miller (C): One of the toughest players in Australian rugby I believe. Extremely skilful and very quick, which means he is a real threat in in our attack. A natural leader, who has very good tactical and technical knowledge.

Hugh Sinclair: Massive workrate, he can knock out 20-plus tackles in a game and ball carry at the same time. He’ll be everywhere on the field, he’s strong and has a really good rugby brain – a smart footballer.

Michael Dowsett: Fast to the breakdown, quick releases and can also scoot and open up holes. An intelligent organiser around our defence, he gives our 10 another second in terms of the decision making process.

Angus Sinclair: Awesome game manager, beautiful ball skills, has a great chop tackle and he will lead the team around the park.

Lochie Creagh: Probably one of our best at the breakdown, never goes down easy in the first tackle and is deceptively quick. Runs good lines and is brilliant defensively.

Irae Simone: Amazing footwork in close quarter contact, he can beat a guy within a metre. Very strong, great ball player and will play Super Rugby.

Stephan van der Walt: Strong, explosive and intelligent defensively. Has a very calm head on him.

Richard Woolf: Lightning quick – give him half a metre and he’s gone. Will catch anything in the air when we’re competing and has massive x-factor. Also great defensively.

Harry Burey: Defensively very strong, comes into the line with great timing and is a very good kicker. Technically very good and doesn’t make mistakes.

Reserves:

Will Weeks: Huge workrate – he’s your fourth loose forward. Great linespeed and chop tackle and will be everywhere around the park.

Tyron Rota: One of the biggest in the squad, a strong scrummager and is very quick over the first 10 metres for his size.

Lawrance Hunting: A big leader in our team. Has really good linespeed, has a really good shoulder punch in his chop tackle, a really good pass and opens up the outsides really well as a tighthead.

Connor Vest: Huge workrate, great chop tackle, massive ball carrier and can get on the ball too. He’ll be a huge asset in that last 20 minutes.

Michael Wells: Obviously a massive asset for us. He’s very quick, has great ball skills and is a huge tackler. An all-round athlete with a really good rugby brain.

Mitch Magrath: Solid in defence, a really good communicator around the field and has a great knowledge of pattern and structure, so he knows where to come and what to do. A key link in our squad in terms of culture.

Jordan Heyer: Explosively quick over 10 metres, he can hit a really good line – and fast. Has played in a lot of big games for us and knows his role.

Blake Murray: Never makes a mistake, really, really fast, won’t miss a tackle and never lets you down. Good ball skills and a really good human.
