Super Rugby: Western Force Celebrate Skipper’s Landmark In Style

Rugby WA Media Release - The Western Force has marked captain Matt Hodgson’s 100th Asteron Life Super Rugby match for the club with an emphatic 32-7 bonus point win over the Melbourne Rebels at the ‘Force Field’ (nib Stadium) tonight. Having been a cornerstone of Force sides over the past nine years, the skipper was typically tireless in both attack and defence, finishing the match with a game high 21 tackles and bringing the crowd to its feet after crashing over for the side’s third try. The result saw the Western Australian side cross for four tries in the first 26 minutes of the match to return the club’s first bonus point victory since it’s 45-19 win over the Queensland Reds in Perth – in which Hodgson also crossed for a try. “I remember my first, my 50th and now my 100th and I think that’s the best
