Southern Districts welcome back prodigal son & add more size to dangerous pack

After a tough start to the season, things look to be on the up for Southern Districts.

The Rebels jumped in to the top six on the back of an impressive 42-30 victory over Manly on the weekend and have named a big inclusion for Saturday’s clash against Randwick.

Southern Districts junior and Waratahs recruit Rahboni Warren-Vosayaco will make his first appearance in the candy stripes since 2016.

The 190cm, 105kg backrower has spent the past five seasons in Japan and made 26 Super Rugby appearances for the Sunwolves in that time.

The Waratahs announced Warren-Vosayaco’s signing for 2022 earlier this year and have approved the damaging ball runners return to the Shute Shield.

The new look Rebels look to be improving week on week and Warren-Vosayaco’s inclusion for the remainder of the season puts Souths right back on track for a run at the playoffs later this year.

Souths’ scrum has been damaging in recent weeks and the form of nippy halfback Tyzac Jordan has also been impressive.

They travel to Coogee to play Randwick on Saturday.
