Shute Shield Round 8: Team News
We’re already into round eight in another increasingly tight Shute Shield competition. Norths take on Easts in the match of the round, while the Sydney Uni v Gordon clash will also be worth keeping an eye on.

Northern Suburbs v Eastern Suburbs
Gun No.10s Jude Gibbs and Jack Bowen will both miss Saturday’s clash between Norths and Easts as both sides look to bounce back from disappointing losses in round 7.
James Margan (hooker) and Declan Carroll (lock) will both start for Norths with Harry Burey to start at No.10.
For Easts, Max Patterson replaces Bowen, while Blake Rixon will start on the wing.

West Harbour captain Max Clementson will miss Saturday’s match against Randwick and has been replaced at No.7 by Amos Roddick. Elsewhere, Navi Bolatagici will start at hooker, Enari Kilifi at No.12 and Senijiale Dawai on the wing.
Randwick will start with a new look backrow, with Seb Buchanan and former Gordon flanker Tom Silk to start alongside Ben Houston. 20-year old Dubbo boy Jayden Blake will also make his Shute Shield debut at outside centre.

Southern Districts v Hunter
Southern Districts have made two changes to the side that fell short again Sydney Uni, with Jake Douglas returning to the starting pack at lock and George Spencer to start on the wing.
For competition leaders Hunter, Isikeli Fukofuka returns at prop, allowing Andrew Tuala to shift to hooker. Gun No.7 Donny Freeman will miss the clash though and has been replaced by Travis Gifford in the backrow. In the backs, Nafi Tuitavake (centre) and Alex Pohla (wing) return to the starting side.

Western Sydney lock Manasa Rokosuka has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash at home against Manly. Dane Terekia will shift to lock with Jaycob Matiu named at No.8
Manly have made multiple changes following last week’s bruising derby win. James Hilterbrand is off to play in the MLR, with Ivan Fepuleai and Aaron Blacklock to start in the front row. Manaia Koko will also start at No.8 with Ben Gleeson named on the bench. In the backs, Ofa Manuofetoa and Angus Bell are both out and have been replaced by Fraser Conway at 12 and Whiria Meltzer at 13.

For Gordon, Harrison Goddard is back at No.9 and Mike Pavlakis replaces Brandon Quinn on the wing.
