Shute Shield: Round 6 Team News

The team lists are in and there have been plenty of changes ahead of round six this weekend.

Keep reading to find out who will line out for your side this Saturday.

Randwick v Manly 

Randwick and Manly will both be looking to bounce back from dissapointing losses in round five when they meet at Coogee. 

Steve Hoiles has made two changes with Olly Adkins and Paulo Leleisiuao both to start in the front row. Adkinsi is a former English U20s and Gloucester prop.

Manly have made seven changes to the side that fell short against West Harbour last week. Nick Brown returns at prop and No.6 (two players with same name), Harrison Mataele will make his first start at lock and Ben Gleeson returns at No.8. 

In the backs, Lewis Dennett will start at flyhalf, Oscar Gilding on the wing and Angus Bell at 13. 

Randwick (1-15)

Northern Suburbs v Eastwood

Norths are unchanged from last week’s impressive win over Gordon in the North Shore local derby. 

There at home again against a Gordon side who welcome back captain Ed Craig at hooker. Young lock Dan Stolvold will start his first match of the season, while Aussie 7s back JL Bacon has been named at No.13.

Eastern Suburbs v Sydney Uni

Easts welcome back Archer Holz and Mosese Tuipulotu from the Waratahs for Saturday’s Ladies Day clash against Sydney Uni, while halves Teddy Wilson and Jack Bowen are also back from the Australian U20s camp. 

Wilson and Bowen’s Junior Wallabies teammate Tom Morrison is also back for Sydney Uni. He’s been named on the wing though, allowing recruit Zac Lloyd to stay at No.15. The Students have also named 18-year old Ronan Leahy at No.13. Leahy was an Australian Schoolboy last year and is in the Force academy.

Southern Districts v Western Sydney

Junior Wallabies centre Jackson Ropata returns for the Rebels for Saturday’s important clash against the Two Blues. In the only other change, Angus Allen replaces Tupou Sopoaga at No.6

Western Sydney welcome back gun No.7 Tavite Gadeisuva. The Two Blues also have a new look front row with Kafaonga Katoa and Tonga Tangitau to both start at prop.

Warringah v Hunter

Warringah will look to claim their second win of the year when they host the competition leaders at Rat Park. 

Charlie McKill and Seb Wileman both haven’t been named though. Josh Sheridan will start for McKill in the backrow, while Esera Chee-Kam moves in to the centres and Mojee Veremalua starts on the wing in place of Wileman. 

Warringah (1-15)

West Harbour have made two changes to the side that beat Manly in a thrill at Concord Oval on Saturday. Voatangi Mafi replaces Cam Orr at prop while Jordan Sharp is in for Prez Tufuga at lock. 

Gordon will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Norths. Jack McGregor is back for the Stags at flyhalf. 

While in the forwards, James Lough is out. Cam Wood/Jack Margin will start at lock, with Ola Taulangi shifting to No.6. 

West Harbour (1-15)
