Shute Shield: Kagiassis tops points table, ‘Jimmy the Jet’ scoots home with try scoring award

Southern Districts utility back Christian Kagiassis has come home with a wet sail to claim the leading points scoring award for the 2020 Shute Shield season.
Kagiassis (130) scored 18 points in Souths final game of the season against West Harbour from two tries and four conversions to claim the coveted prize from Gordon’s Rodney Iona who finished on 123 points.
Eastwood’s Tane Edmed (116) sneaked into third spot from Angus Sinclair (110) of Northern Suburbs, who at one stage headed up the ladder.
West Harbour’s James Turner scored a double against Souths to top the try scoring list from Matt Gonzalez from Eastwood who scored 11 times during the home and away season.
