Shute Shield: All the first grade team lists for all the Round Nine action

By MARK CASHMAN

The teams are in for Round Nine of the Shute Shield competition and the Waratahs missing out on the Super Rugby finals has seen a number of big name stars filter back to their clubs.

Hugh Sinclair has been named at No.7 and Cam Clark on the wing for Northern Suburbs as the Shoremen prepare for their 7TWO TV match of the round on Saturday against Randwick.

The Wicks have named Mitch Short at scrum half while Ben Donaldson comes in for a crack at No.10 with Dave Horwitz moving one out to inside centre for the game at Rat Park.

Will Harrison has been named as a Player of National Interest (PONI) by Wallabies coach Dave Rennie and has not been released to club footy.

Easts are another big beneficiary with lock Tom Staniforth coming into the Beasties’  pack for the big showdown with Sydney Uni at Woollahra.

In the backs the Beasties have named Lalakai Foketi in the centres and are yet to decided where the well-performed Alex Newsome will start the game. He has been bracketed with Dan Donato on the wing and at fullback.

At Gordon, Sean Dillon gets first crack at the tight head prop position after the Highlanders lost their two top squad No.3s (Rhys Brodie with a ruptured Achilles and Bosco Tagaloa with knee ligament damage) to season-ending injuries in the game against Randwick last weekend.
