Shute Shield: All the first grade team lists for all the action in Round 10

By MARK CASHMAN

It was always a matter of time but the rich vein of Super Rugby talent available to Sydney Uni has started to filter back for Round 10 of the Shute Shield.

Uni play Randwick in the 7TWO TV match of the round on Saturday and have freshened up their front row with Chris Talaki from the Waratahs coming in along with Declan Moore and Matt Sandell, while in the back row they have brought in Josh Kemeny from the Rebels.

In the Randwick side Cabous Eloff, the young South African prop with the Melbourne Rebels, will start in the No.3 jersey and Christian Poidevin comes straight in at open side breakaway.

Gordon continue to search for the right combination for their front row with Western Force prop Dom Hardman starting at tight head against Northern Suburbs.

The Highlanders have named Mahe Vailani again at open side, with Joey Walton a major feature of the home side’s backline that will be steered around the field by Harrison Goddard and Rodney Iona.

Norths have named the same side that did so well last week against Randwick at Pittwater Rugby Park.

There has been some comment about the Battle of the North not being the TV game of Round 10 but with the grand stand being demolished at Chatswood Oval the ground could not adequately cater for the needs of the broadcasters.

Elsewhere Warringah have named Ben Marr, probably the form fullback in the Shute Shield, at flyhalf with Tom Halse back to reserve grade to find some form.

At Manly Adam Crerar will start at scrum half after the Marlins injury hoodoo struck again with Harry Emery gone for the season after another shoulder knock.
