Rugbypalooza to draw Australia’s best coaches to clinic in Lennox Head

A handful of Australia’s top rugby coaches will head to Lennox Head on the NSW North Coast in late January to share their knowledge and experience with grassroots rugby coaches from right around Australia.

Now in it’s second year, Rugbypalooza attracted more than 150 club and schoolboy coaches on short notice in January this year, with the event expected to grow in 2022.

Wallabies assistant coach Scott Wisemantel headlines an impressive list of expert coaches who will share their expertise on all areas of the game.

“The 2021 event showed that community rugby coaches are yearning for the  opportunity to do better but the only way for this to happen is to get  better. This is what we are setting out to achieve with this event,” event organiser Andrew Fraser told Rugby News.

“In 2022, we are upping our game and have more lead time to create another  action-packed weekend before the rugby season gets underway. We will  bring together the sharpest minds in rugby to deliver application-based  learning, provide knowledge bombs and share key insights all with the  goal of improving rugby outcomes for community rugby union.

“Grassroots  rugby is the backbone of our sport so giving these community leaders the chance to do a better job of improving the skills and development of  both our current and next generation of rugby players, is critical.”

The two day weekend event kicks off on Saturday January 29. Head to rugbypalooza.com.au for more information.
