RESULTS: Fans predict 2017 Shute Shield premiers

As part of Rugby News' midseason survey we asked fans who they thought would win the 2017 Shute Shield competition. Unsurprisingly, competition leaders Manly came out on top with almost a third of all votes after dropping just one match in the opening 11 rounds. The Marlins Northern Beaches neighbours Warringah (16%) edged out Norths (15%) by just a handful of votes to claim second spot, while Eastwood were also strongly supported with 12% of votes. Despite currently sitting outside of the top six, Sydney Uni (8%) finished fifth ahead of fourth placed Randwick (6%) and West Harbour (4%). Last year's preliminary finalists Southern Districts have paid the price for their inconsistent start of the year and attracted just 3% of votes to finish below ninth placed Gordon. Full results - Which team will win the 2017 Shute Shield competition? Manly (29%) Warringah (16%) Northern Suburbs (15%) Eastwood (12%) Sydney University (8%) Randwick (6%) West Harbour
