QRU announces revamped two week finals series, GF rescheduled at Suncorp

Queensland Rugby Union has announced plans to play a shortened two week finals series following the conclusion of the Queensland Government's two week ban on community sport. Instead of playing a major and minor semi final in week one of the playoffs, the top ranked team will face the fourth placed team and the second ranked team will play the third ranked team with the winner of the two semi finals to meet a week later in the grand final. Norths and GPS will host the opening weekend of finals over two days, while Sunnybank will host the lower grade grand finals a week later. Premier Grade, Colts and Women's grand finals will be held at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday September 5.
