Premier Rugby: Standout performers from round five

Round five of the Hospital Cup saw Wests and Brothers rise toward the top of the ladder, while Norths and Sunnybank failed to secure their first victories. We picked out the best performers from last weekend. Connor Pritchard – Bond Bond flanker Connor Pritchard was rewarded for his hard work with two tries on the weekend against Norths. Pritchard crossed for a crucial five pointer midway through the fist half, before a brilliant Hayden Sargeant kick set him up for a second try in the right corner. Lathaniel Tiatia – Sunnybank The Sunnybank winger was a shining light on a tough day for the hosts as they went down to a ladder leading Wests' outfit. Tiatia burst past Bulldog’s defenders with pace and agility in a fifty-metre effort that left the home fans in raptures. Daniel Mailava – Wests The flanker was a driving force behind Wests’ victory that saw them leap to the top of the ladder after five rounds.
