NRC: Western Sydney Rams announce 2016 playing squad

The Western Sydney Rams have announced their squad for the 2016 National Rugby Championship ahead of their opening match against the Sydney Rays this weekend. The squad features 11 Southern Districts players as well as representatives from Parramatta, West Harbour and Penrith. John Muggleton has also recruited Albert Nikoro from the Western Force and four Fijian players. Former Melbourne Rebels utility Paul Asquith will captain the side and link with Southern Districts teammates Apo Latunipulu and Denny Godinet in an exciting Rams backline. In the forwards, Waratahs hooker Hugh Roach will be looking to play his way into the Tahs starting No.2 jersey for next season, while lock Senio Teoleafoa will be keen to prove he is ready to play Super Rugby. The Rams play the Rays at North Sydney Oval at 1pm this Sunday.
