Manly gun Josh Turner picks up Aussie 7s contract

Manly back Josh Turner has been rewarded for his sensational Shute Shield form with an Australian Sevens contract. The Kiwi born fullback, who shifted to centre last week for the Marlins, has been one of the competition's most electric backs since crossing the Tasman ahead of the 2016 season. “Josh is an amazing young prospect and has shown that he is the type of player we want in the squad," Australian Sevens coach Tim Walsh said. “He has creativity, speed, agility and a never say die attitude that has seen him rise through the ranks of the Marlins to the Rays and now to the Australian Sevens. “With experience in New Zealand, he is now passionate about wearing gold and representing Australia.
