John Manenti joins Aussie 7’s after coaching reshuffle

Eastwood coach John Manenti has joined the Australian Men's Sevens program as 'set piece and contact' coach, as part of a wider coaching reshuffle within the program. The appointment comes just days after Manenti led Eastwood to a second straight Intrust Super Shute Shield premiership and the club's fourth grand final appearance in five years. Head coach Geraint John has also announced he will leave the Australian Sevens program due to family reasons at the end of the month, with Women's coach Tim Walsh assuming responsibility for both programs until a replacement is appointed. “While obviously we are sad to lose Geraint, we respect his decision entirely. We do, however, have the right structure in place to ensure this won’t negatively impact either the Men’s or Women’s players or the program in general," said Ben Whitaker.
