GPS selectors have rewarded players from Joeys, Riverview and Scots for their strong form through the preseason and in the weekend’s opening round with the lion’s share of spots in the GPS side to play CAS on Thursday evening.

Joeys have six players selected included their entire front row, with Jack Barrett, Paddy Burns and Henry Roberts joined by Joeys teammate and loose forward Will Martin in the GPS forward pack.

Scots have four players selected in the backline with wingers Ollie Cummins and Terrell Kalokalo both rewarded for their strong efforts in Saturday’s tight win over Kings.

Kings flanker Will Johnston will captain the side and is his school’s only representative while Riverview locks Louis Dalrympie and Ben Morten, No.8 Sam Allsopp and scrumhalf Dan Nelson have also been named in the starting side.

In the GPS Second XV, Scots and Riverview both have four players selected, Kings and Joeys have three each while Shore prop Jackson Stiel was the only player selected from his school.

Two GPS and CAS sides will play each other on Thursday evening at Knox from 5:45pm.
