Force coach confirms Kyle Godwin’s departure

Western Force interim coach Dave Wessels has all but confirmed star centre Kyle Godwin is on the move following his side’s final round loss to the Brumbies. Godwin is reportedly set to join the Brumbies from next season, replacing Wallabies centre Matt Toomua, who is heading to the UK. “Particularly for Kyle a move is going to be a good thing for him, not just from a rugby perspective but from a lifestyle perspective,” Wessels said after the match in Canberra. “I think he’s excited about being away from Perth, he’s always lived in Perth.” The 23-year old made his Super Rugby debut in 2012 and has 43 caps to his name, however Godwin has struggled in an inconsistent Force side. Teammates Chris Alcock, Guy Millar and Rory Walton are also leaving the club with veteran captain Matt Hodgson's future still undecided.
