Cheika names 28-man Wallabies side to play live trial

Michael Cheika has named an extended side to play a live trial against an Australian Super Rugby Barbarians side at Leichhardt Oval on Friday night. David Pocock will captain the side, with young Reds playmaker Hamish Stewart to wear the No.10 jersey and Reece Hodge to start at outside centre. Rolling substitutions will be permitted for Friday night’s trial with the broader squad to each receive substantial playing minutes. Jed Holloway and Jake Gordon have both been rewarded for their impressive Super Rugby form while others members of the NSW Waratahs were not considered for selection after bowing out of the finals last weekend.
