Two famous names in Australian rugby union, Canterbury of New Zealand and Rugby News, have come together to support the exciting rugby sevens competition in Queensland, the Brisbane 7s. Nine clubs from all over Queensland compete in four separate events, showcasing the skills and thrills of sevens rugby. In 2019, Canterbury has sponsorship naming rights of all school male and female players. A world cup year, 2019 is going to be "the year of rugby" for CCC, with seven international teams taking the field in Japan in Canterbury playing kit.
