Warringah were the big improvers in 2021 and look to be on the back end of the rebuild that the club has undergone in recent years.

The Rats welcome back to of their most talented and experienced players from down the coast this year and have an impressive group of youngsters who seem ready to make their mark on the competition.

“We’re really excited to get stuck into the season. It’s obviously been a really long lay off for the boys and I think that has created a real sense of excitement around the group,” Ruthven said.

“We started to show what we are capable of last year and I think the big thing for us this year is consistency. We want to start the year how we finished last season and then maintain that level of consistency throughout the rest of the competition.
