A second half blitz delivered the University of Queensland their fourth straight victory to start the season over the weekend, with the Students claiming a comprehensive 52-17 win over Easts in the Grand Final rematch.

The Heavies went to the break with a 19-12, before a clinical five-try attacking display in the second stanza saw the side inflict the Tigers fourth loss of the season.

UQ Assistant Coach Elton Berrange was impressed with his side’s second half form, with the side moving to outright first on the ladder.

“We didn’t have it all our own way,” Berrange said.
