Eastwood unveil plans for new home ground

Eastwood will call a new state of the art rugby facility in Castle Hill home after officially unveiling plans overnight. Hills Council last night voted to approve a masterplan to upgrade the existing Fred Caterson Reserve multi-sport precinct featuring as its centrepiece an elite rugby complex. The planned rugby complex is intended to feature three full-size playing grounds - including a new home ground for Eastwood’s premier Shute Shield team with grandstand and terrace seating - training facilities, spectator amenities, car parking and an administration centre. Under the Council masterplan Eastwood Rugby will become the long-term occupant of the site.
