Former Randwick and Waratahs centre Dave Horwitz has signed with Irish Pro 14 club Connacht. The 23-year old played 21 Super Rugby matches for NSW, before joining the Melbourne Rebels ahead of the 2018 season. The former Australian Schoolboy and U20s representative has been unable to play his way into a new look Rebels midfield so far this season. In 2015, a 21-year old Horwitz was awarded the Ken Catchpole medal as the Shute Shield's most valuable player. "David is a quality out-half who has also built up considerable experience at centre. His Super Rugby credentials are obvious having featured heavily for the Waratahs last season. He will be another strong addition to Connacht and we look forward to his arrival next season," Connacht CEO Wille Ruane said.
