Australian Women’s Sevens coach Tim Walsh has welcomed star pair Ellia Green and Alicia Quirk, with the duo returning from injury for the Sydney 7s. Green returns from a knee reconstruction that she underwent in April 2017 while Quirk is fit again after an ankle injury ruled her out of the season opener in Dubai last December. Australia sit atop the Sevens World Series ladder following victory in Dubai after beating USA 34-nil in the Cup Final. The reigning Olympic Gold Medalists are out for redemption on home soil following a fourth place finish in Sydney 12 months ago, and are in Pool A alongside France, Spain and Papua New Guinea. “Ellia and Alicia are two really important players for us and they have worked incredibly hard to be fit and available as soon as physically possible," Australian coach Tim Walsh said.
