Brad Thorn joins Queensland Reds coaching staff

Rugby World Cup-winning lock Brad Thorn will join the Queensland Reds coaching staff as an Assistant Coach for the remainder of the 2016 Super Rugby season. After more than two decades and countless successes on the field, Thorn joined Queensland Rugby Union as Elite Development Squad Forwards Coach in late 2015. He has settled into Ballymore well and played a key role in Queensland’s title success in the inaugural Super U20s Championship tournament. “I’ve really enjoyed the ability to have a virtual apprenticeship with the Under-20s and the Reds have been very understanding since I arrived at Ballymore. I now feel I can use my experience to assist this Reds program," Thorn said. Thorn will continue to work with the Reds Elite Development Squad, but his new role will see him work more closely with the Super Rugby squad.
