Sydney 7’s officially a sell-out nine days out from tournament

Australian rugby fans have snapped up the few remaining tickets to next weekend's inaugural Sydney 7's, ensuring both days of the tournament are a sell-out. Sydney's Allianz Stadium will host a leg of the Sevens World Series for the first time, with close to 45,000 fans expected through the gates on each day. “The response from fans to the first ever HSBC Sydney 7s has been extraordinary and as it stands we have no reserved and general admission seating remaining," ARU CEO Bill Pulver said. “For those who have purchased tickets and haven’t attended an HSBC Sevens World Series event before, they are in for an experience which is truly like no other with the mix of world class Rugby and entertainment." On top of the main tournament, eight Intrust Super Shute Shield sides will contest the Sydney Club Sevens, with $10,000 in prize money up for grabs.
