Props in space: Big boys to star in 100kg+ Sevens tournament

By Matt Findlay Natural phenomena don’t come much rarer than volcanic lightning, snow donuts, the Auroras, lenticular clouds, bio-luminescence or in a horribly unrealistic but still scientifically-possible scenario, sharknados. There’s a chance you’ll see one natural phenomenon rarer, and infinitely more impressive, than the lot if you’re at Dubbo’s No.1 Oval on Saturday, March 11 next year though. Props in space, props kicking, props throwing cut out passes, props scoring runaway tries – take your pick, but however you look at it, you’ll see props doing everything they traditionally shouldn’t. At next year’s inaugural Dubbo Roos Rugby Sevens carnival, the club will host a 100kg and above division and while that would almost definitely include some second-rowers, back-rowers and even outside backs, coordinator Benn Wright said the division should mostly be filled with front-rowers. “Everything your coaches tell you not to do during the 15-a-side game, we do it
