UQ flanker Conor Mitchell signs Australian Sevens contract

UQ and Queensland Country flanker Conor Mitchell has signed an Australian Sevens contract for the 2016-17 season. The young Queenslander joins the national squad after leading UQ to the Brisbane Premier Rugby grand final earlier this year. He has previous experience as a wider squad member with the Aussie Sevens. Mitchell made his Australian Sevens debut in 2016 when he ran out at the Vancouver Sevens in Canada. The 22-year old was named in Rugby News' 10 best unsigned players in Australia last month.
